What do I do?
As a European Patent Attorney, my current practice involves patent prosecution and representing clients in the opposition and appeal proceedings at the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Board of Appeals.
I also support the team in German nullity proceedings before the Federal Patent Court and patent infringement proceedings at various German courts.
Specialisation
As an engineer, I specialise in Electronics and Communication technology. My primary focus is on innovation in hardware and software patents, including mobile communication, entertainment devices and Video game technology.
I have an Engineering degree (Electronics) and Law (LL.M – Intellectual Property and Competition Law) degree.
Multinational Experience
As a qualified Indian Patent and Design Attorney, I have drafted and prosecuted patent applications specialising in computer-implemented inventions at the Indian Patent Office and also represented clients in contentious IP matters at the Indian Appellate Board and supported clients at the Indian High courts.
I also qualified also as an Indian Trademark Attorney and advised clients on trademark protection in India.
Teaching/Speaking:
I teach patent law at the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC), and also regularly speak at conferences on the topic of Patent Law and patent prosecution at the European Patent Office in emerging technologies such as AI, and computer-implemented invention.
As an epi tutor for the European Qualifying Exam (EQE), I train patent attorney candidates for the qualification exam.
